Global Training:
Following Paul’s instructions to Timothy, one of the three pillars of our ministry is the training of media strategy and production techniques. We have multiple ways to help churches and missions organizations be more effective in communicating the gospel around the world.
Below are highlights of some of the training programs which have resulted in media projects, teams, and studios developed around the world.
Eldoret, Kenya
The success of storytelling videos, used by missionaries and churches, showed that media could be a powerful ministry tool. The next step seemed obvious…train and equip indigenous media teams to produce material needed for the local outreach efforts. Videos are now being broadcast locally, and throughout Kenya, produced by the team we trained in Eldoret.

Pachuca, Mexico
A prominent mission outreach effort, not far from Mexico City, decided to dedicate time and effort to producing quality materials for their discipleship and church development programs. A media team was identified, trained, and given a full equipment package. Today, they continue to lead the way in developing outreach materials for Hispanic audiences.

Johannesburg, South Africa
Church growth begins with effective leadership development. A missionary, based in Johannesburg, decided to capture lectures and seminars on video to share in outlying towns and villages. Today, their Bible school uses these videos, many of which feature adjunct professors who continue to teach from afar!

Ukraine
Using apologetics has proven to be an effective way to reach those who are skeptical about the Christian religion. Several media training workshops have been held in Ukraine, which attracted ministry participants from diverse areas of the former Soviet Union. The result has been a flood of videos and teaching materials being produced to help share a reasoned, logical presentation about Christianity.

Kigali, Rwanda
Mission efforts often focus on helping communities provide basic services to people suffering from war, famine or other external situations. A ministry team in Rwanda sought help to produce informational videos and public service announcements. We trained and equipped a team of four that continue to provide helpful videos to serve the people.

Kadiolo, Mali
An exiled theatrical troupe from Ivory Coast settled in southern Mali and decided they wanted to create videos of their most popular educational skits for church youth. We helped train and equip their drama team with the tools and skills to produce powerful, engaging videos to send back into their home country.

Chennai, India
India has a long history of effective missionary work in planting churches. The focus is now shifting to provide Bible College and Seminary training to help equip the next generations of Church leaders. Our work has helped develop academic programs and adjunct faculty who help teach and mentor students in the use of media for ministry.

Zakosciele, Poland
Youth from Eastern Europe descend on a remote Church camp in Poland each Summer for a week devoted to exploring their giftedness in the Fine Arts. Our team has led the media production workshops several times, giving teens some extensive hands-on training in video storytelling.

Salatiga, Indonesia
With evangelism as a requirement for graduation, students in a Bible college in Indonesia asked to learn how media could be used in their outreach to youth. A generous sponsor provided the funds to help us train and equip a team that could focus on making videos to appeal to younger audiences.

Chiang Mai, Thailand
Thailand is the base of outreach to several tribal and regional people groups throughout Southeast Asia. Our focus has been to help train pastors in the use of media for ministry. Solar-powered video projection systems have proven very popular for giving gospel presentations, even in remote villages, far removed from modern conveniences.

Mbale, Uganda
A partnership with a Christian university has allowed us to provide advanced training in media strategy and methods. Today, media teams are fanning out throughout the East African region, producing timely, culturally relevant, Biblical-based videos to help augment the evangelistic efforts of the Church’s work in these areas.

Nairobi, Kenya
Leaders of the Kenya Church of Christ asked for help in producing materials to serve the churches and missions community throughout the country. In 1995, a Regional Production Center was opened by Good News Productions, International. Over the next decade, a production team of 10 people was trained and employed, and nearly 100 video projects were produced as a result.
